It was decided to install a hybrid system with 4kW solar modules with 200Ah battery bank. But with no possibility of installing 4kW with 3kW of sanctioned load, its upgraded to 4kW as a first step. Then the solar modules are installed on the elevated structure using Jurchen technology structures which are German made special structures. They are made of Aluminium to avoid any kind of corrosion. These structures are fixed to the sheet roof using rivets making them waterproof with no bolts and nuts. Elevated structure is erected on the complete roof making use of the terrace space in full pledged. Proper walkways are added allowing access to all the panels for cleaning.

With 200Ah battery bank, all the basic loads like fans and lights could be connected and run for an average of at least 10 hours continuously. Studer a swiss made inverter and charge controller are used in this system.

Fuses are used on the DC side near the modules output and battery bank to protect the system from fault currents and high voltages. Circuit breakers are used on DC as well as AC side to protect the system completely. Surge protection devices (SPD) are also fixed wherever necessary. SPD’s protect the electrical devices from any kind of voltage spikes. Surge protector helps in blocking or shorting to ground any kind of extra voltages beyond threshold keeping the electrical devices safe.
